Live prices for every position

Current prices come through a keyless Yahoo Finance feed, with no account of your own needed at any price-data provider. The ticker symbol is detected automatically at import time from the ISIN, the same international identifier your broker already includes in its export. If an auto-detected symbol is off, for instance because a security trades on several exchanges under different tickers, you can override it by hand without having to reimport the underlying trades.

Foreign currency handled honestly

Trade Republic and other brokers already settle many foreign holdings in euros at purchase time, while the live price from the data provider often still quotes in the home currency, US dollars for a US stock, for example. Mixing up these two currencies multiplies a cost basis that's already in euros by the current dollar rate a second time, inventing a gain or loss that never happened. Trade Checker therefore keeps your cost basis in the actual currency you traded in, kept separate from the quote currency of the current price, and only converts both cleanly into euros at the moment they're compared.

IRR across all your open positions

Alongside the account-wide return on the returns page, Trade Checker calculates an additional IRR covering only your currently open positions, built from the purchase date and price of every single FIFO lot plus today's market value as the final cashflow. That answers a different question than the account-wide metric: not "how has my whole account performed since the start," but "how is my currently invested capital doing right now." If a position has no current price available, it's deliberately excluded from the calculation entirely, rather than faking a return with an estimated value that can't be backed up.

Gaps shown, not hidden

If a position is missing a cost basis, for instance because a crypto reward was granted without a reported price, or a price ticker can't be resolved automatically, it shows up on a dedicated to-do page. You see exactly which position is affected and can fill in the missing value by hand, instead of a zero or a wrong value quietly flowing into your return.
