Is the Trade-Analyzer free?
Yes, completely free with no subscription. It's a personal project, not a commercial product.
Do you need access to my broker account or login details?
No. You upload your own CSV export from your broker's app, with no connection to your account, no login credentials and no automatic sync.
Is this investment advice?
No. The Trade-Analyzer only analyzes your own, already-completed trades. It gives no buy or sell recommendations and doesn't replace tax or financial advice.
What data can I import?
The official CSV export from your broker (transaction history), see the list of supported brokers above. Savings plans, dividends, splits and transfers are recognized automatically.
How long does the import take?
Usually just a few minutes. Upload the CSV file and the analyzer automatically detects and categorizes the transactions.
Can I delete my account and data again?
Yes, any time, fully and in line with data protection rules via the account settings, no data is left behind.
What's new
The Trade-Analyzer keeps evolving, here's what changed recently.
Buy and sell points for US holdings, plus zoom
For shares quoted in dollars or another foreign currency, the buy and sell points were missing from the price chart entirely. They are there now, converted using the exchange rate of the respective trading day. In fullscreen you can also pinch or use the +/− buttons to zoom in and out freely and drag the visible section around.
Change your password directly
Under "My account" you can now change your password directly, without first triggering a "forgot password" email. Just confirm with your current password.
Fees & tax per position
The position story now also shows how much a single position has cost you in fees and tax so far, across its entire trading history, not just the current holding.
Menu reorganized
The navigation menu is now grouped into Overview, Portfolio, Analysis, Income, Tax, and Account & Community, so new reports get a fitting home instead of piling up under one "Reports" group.
Smaller improvements
Login is now protected against too many failed attempts, and several rough translations in Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch have been fixed.
Import: staking rewards and scrip dividends
Crypto staking rewards now take their cost basis straight from the Trade Republic export instead of asking you to fill it in afterwards, each reward at its own daily price. Scrip dividends, where you took shares instead of cash, are now imported as well; they were missing from your share count before.
